Sample article. This study examines how contemporary Nigerian novels figure migration as an act of memory. Drawing on theories of the archive and of postcolonial testimony, it reads selected novels as counter-archives that preserve experiences excluded from official records. The analysis shows that the novels' fragmented narration enacts the gaps of the colonial archive while inviting readers to participate in acts of recovery. The paper concludes that fiction serves as a vital supplement to the historical record of Nigerian migration.
